Lady Hamilton as Nature Two Natural Beauties

2 of my favorite girls

With whom I am sheltering at homeThis recreation features my two beauties: my daughter and our dog. During this pandemic, we are forced to slow down and focus on the beauty that exists in those around us. The gloved hand represents how the precautions we are all taking are permeating our home lives and relations with each other.

The Great Temple at Abu The Greatest Fans of Baseball

4 people waiting for baseball season to start

My family and I are dedicated Nationals fans. This photograph shows us patiently waiting for the Nats to defend their world championship as soon as baseball season is permitted to start, albeit from the couch instead of the stadium. Our new puppy became a part of our family at the very beginning of quarantine.

Storm Clouds Stormy Times with Toilet Paper

6 rolls of Toilet Paper in one package

That are very hard to findAs COVID-19 descended on the nation like a great storm, the widespread panic led to an overnight toilet paper shortage. In my recreation, the clouds are made of crumpled toilet paper to depict the looming beginnings of the pandemic and the subsequent panic-buying seen across America.

The Torture of Prometheus The Torture of Zachariah

8 o’clock a.m. college classes on Zoom

My son had to move home early from college due to the nationwide campus closures in response to the pandemic. This recreation shows him yawning and unmotivated, being tortured by having to wake up early for an 8:00 a.m. distance-learning class on Zoom, rather than being free to go to class on campus.

Lute Player Guitar Player

10 gigs that had to be cancelled for social distancing

My son is a guitarist who had to cancel in-person performances for stay-at-home orders and business closures. Both images portray a lone musician performing for an unseen audience, drawing in viewers as if they are playing just for them. My recreation features a MacBook facilitating a Zoom concert.
